I'm REALLY hoping that Bayern can take advantage of this matchday. Both, Schalke and Leverkusen play away and against very difficult rivals. Not to say that Frankfurt are not dangerous of course, but are a team that usually plays with 10 men in the back, as usually this teams do against Bayern...

But I'm hopefull that with Ribery, Contento and Schweinsteiger coming back to the starting line-up we will see a different Bayern than the one that played v Freiburg.

FCB near full strength for Frankfurt match

Quote:
Louis van Gaal was only able to name a 16-man squad for last weekend’s home meeting with Freiburg, as a total of six absentees meant the Bayern party fell two short of the matchday maximum. For Saturday’s trip to face Eintracht Frankfurt, space will once again be at a premium on the Munich subs’ bench.

On the one hand, Bastian Schweinsteiger is back after sitting out a one-match ban. Hamit Altintop also returns to contention in Frankfurt. The Turkey international was laid low for a full week with a heavy dose of the flu, but is expected to resume the team training programme on Friday. “We have more fit players again,” Arjen Robben confirmed.

A question-mark hangs over Franck Ribéry’s fitness to play. The Frenchman is currently reporting to sports rehab coach Thomas Wilhelmi for a tailored jogging and running schedule. “Franck is doing everything he can to recover fitness. I can’t demand anything more from a player. But I’ll have to wait and see if he’s fully up to it,” Van Gaal was quoted as saying in a Sportinformationsdienst agency report.

Bayern are definitely without Mario Gomez (ruptured calf muscle) and Martin Demichelis (multiple facial fractures). The Argentina defender was fitted with a special protective mask on Thursday, and hopes to resume the squad training schedule after next Wednesday’s DFB Cup semi-final away to Schalke.

Probable line-up:
Butt - Lahm, van Buyten, Badstuber, Contento - van Bommel, Schweinsteiger - Robben, Müller - Klose, Olic

Bench:
Rensing, Görlitz, Alaba, Ribéry, Altintop, Pranjic, Tymoshchuk.

Im getting the 'over with' feeling for Ribery, the French loaf.

I know he has had a reoccurring injury and it takes time to heal but THIS added to his 'I dont want to make up my mind yet just in case something better comes along' attitude for not signing an extention with us is REALLY leaving a bad taste in my mouth. Honestly, as day by day goes along, I am hoping more and more that Uli and Co. just say F-k it and sell him off so we can get a decent replacement for him, or a very suitable back up for Kroos, and a quick, tough, CB, and if money provides a good back up RB.

Just looking back at the end of last season and this season we have won more with him than lost without him... this being an unfair comparison but kind of proves that we have enough fire power without him this season than we did last season.

Maybe Ill feel differently once, or if, he signs an extension BUT his attitude is really pissing me off to the point where I am disliking Ribery more than Micho... and thats pretty damn bad!

Ribéry is definitely out for the Frankfurt match, "but we’re optimistic about Franck returning for the midweek cup game,” Rummenigge reported.

Rest Franck and get him fit and ready for CL against Manure... if he doesnt perform in these 2 matches then I say cut him loose and sell him off and start looking for a replacement. With all his whining about Bayern going far in CL he better perform like he's playing the last match of his life!

I wan't Müller to step up again. He had a terrific level alongside with Olic and they suddenly lost it, ironically when Ribéry came back to the team. Is like Pranjic when Robben camed back!
