ofc this match is not being shown on the normal channels here in norway, only the none important ones.

chelsea, manu, arsenal, barca and even the liverpool game is on tv. not even the liverpool fans want to see the liverpool game.

but match of major importance like juve v FCB (both giant clubs) is not on. sucks. have to find a stream

Man that does suck. No matter how you look at it, Juventus - Bayern is the biggest match of that particular day.:S

Dont feel bad. FSC in the states only shows CL matches that involve BPL clubs ALWAYS! And their schedule shows 2 matches.... Guess who? And the second match is Liverpool! What a joke!

Also with Buffon having an injury and being a doubt -- even if they play him he won't be 100% -- then hopefully we can take advantage of some kind of defensive slip up. But we ourselves have to give a massive defensive performance. I'm not worried too much about DvB and Badstuber, as neither has been injured often this season and getting better and better -- I'm worried about Micho of all people. Micho seriously needs to up his game. Maybe we should play Breno instead.

MvB also can have his messed up days -- so he better put a solid DM performance, otherwise I seriously hope he becomes a scape goat on this (which he should since he is captain) and let go in the Winter.

We can play a 4-3-3 with Olic and Robben on either wing as we were actually doing well with the 4-3-3 when we played it. But even with a 4-4-2 Robben should get more of a free role. And seriously, do NOT play Tymo as RM, I hope the coach subs him in for MvB as we need -- as he can seriously put the crunch tackle on Diego -- maybe leaving him with a massive injury, but no red card

Damn -- I am soooooooooooooo hyped for this game. Please, I will run naked throughout Europe if Bayern win.

I'll just repeat what Stefan Effenberg said: "Bayern shouldn't be afraid. This is definetly not the Juve of old times."

Bayern should focus on their strenghts. Having Robben on the field is a big plus and of course if we need more creativity give Baumjohann a chance through the middle.

If the time comes that Bayern is 0-1 up and its minute 80 then he should take off Müller and Robben for Ottl and Tymo... a taste of their own italian defensive mentality.

I only ask for 2 things: concentration and determination. As for what I asked to God, I asked him if he could help Bayern to score early on the match!

Speaking of Micho. I watched the M'Gladbach match again last night and why Micho left his man when he was that close to goal was amazingly stupid! We had 2 other players going after the attacker (Schweini and another coming up from behind the attacker) and Micho decides to go as well and leaves his man unmarked for a quick pass and and shot for goal. Fucking hell. I may scrutinize MvB a lot and sometimes MAYBE unfairly but at least he gets pissed enough when mistakes happen and you can tell the urgency in his eyes. But Mich just looks like he is in slow mode and really doesnt give a shit most of the time. I hope Im wrong here but the past couple of matches that Micho has been back, he looks like he just doesnt give a shit one way or the other.

Also I caught this a few times... when we had possession at midfield at the wings, there were a few times where MvB was open in the middle nearer M'Gladbach's goal and instead of passing to him, we dropped the ball back in our own end to Micho and DvB. Im wondering if there is some lacking confidence in our captn from our wingbacks?

Snake, I actually dislike the typical German style. It is boring, similar to the Italian style of play. Much too defensive for my taste. I prefer the Spanish playing style, because it looks so much better, and it is fast with beautiful passing and exchanges between players. I prefer a much more offense oriented style of play, with constant crosses and quick passing. The only other style that is similar to the Spaniards is the Dutch approach. Why do you favor the German style of play? Simply because of its success rate? Because the German style (and I am German myself, through my mother; and dearly love the country and culture) is not attractive. And IMO, if you cannot look good playing the beautiful game, then you have failed. This is why the Latin style of play is so much better, it is truly beautiful (Spain, Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, etc etc) I would love for my favorite club to try to play beautiful football and eventually succeed. I can only pray that FC Bayern plays like Barca some day.

Fuck the beautiful play idea already. This is not how we play. Success is winning hardware not playing like Spaniards! Look at Arsenal. How many trophies have they won in the last 10 years??

If we are to win against Juve we need to step up our play BIG TIME tomorrow. We cant have any momentary lapses tomorrow in our defense and Micho has me worried on that. And our offense has to FINISH their chances. Im not all that worried about our mids because they can create enough chances... its our front line Im worried about. FINISH FINISH FINISH!!!!
Also, I wont believe that Buffon is out injured until I DONT SEE HIM IN THE BOX tomorrow. If he is out and we cant step up and win this than we just arent good enough to be in CL this season.

If I recall correctly we didn't play beautifull football per se under Hitzfeld in 2001. No player like Ribery for instance... Scholl is more like a Sebastian Deisler player in those times. Yet we managed to win the CL thanks to an organized (tactically+defense), motivated and well prepared physical team. Every player knew their position and when the chance came, we took advantage of them, and won trophies.

If we have those three aspects tomorrow: motivation, organization and physical/mental strengh we will beat Juve.

I agree on Spain/Argentina/Brazil but Mexico? Thats a joke my friend! Mexico is the worst team on this planet and its an insult to consider them as beautifull-playing teams like Brazil and those.

On the other hand, Snake, I know what your frustration is and I fully agree with it: our playing style is not what we want at the moment. However, I do disagree with your constant attacks towards Louis van Gaal and his "Dutch style". Wasn't Cruyff (Holland) who started the whole process that Barcelona had of promoting young players and playing with 3 strikers? Wasn't Louis van Gaal (Holland) the same one that continued this playing style and promoted the likes of Valdes, Xavi, Puyol and some others to the first team? Isn't Rjikard (Holland) the one that won the Champions League with Barcelona in 2005 thanks to the hard work of the past trainers in giving faith to this youngsters?

Yeah, van Gaal made some shitty calls in the transfer period, true! But so did Hitzfeld in his time... Injuries and al kind of shit have prevented van Gaal from having a good start at Bayern.

Van Gaal vaunts Bayern pedigree

Quote:
One of Europe's most illustrious clubs is destined to fall by the wayside in Turin on Tuesday when Juventus set out to claim the point they need to send visitors FC Bayern München tumbling out of the competition.

Ciro Ferrara, Juventus coach
This game is more important than the one against Inter because it's like a final for us and Bayern. We cannot play for the draw because that is not the mentality of a team like Juve. Only victory will do for Bayern and they have many players who can cause us trouble. I don't think they will start at full pelt from kick-off.

Louis van Gaal, Bayern coach
We definitely have a chance. There is one big difference between Juventus and ourselves: we have to win whereas for them a draw is enough, so we have strong motivation. Juventus won a difficult match against Inter which has given them confidence as a win is always important for every team. I can't say I'm satisfied with Bayern's results. I thought the squad would improve quicker than it has, but we've suffered a lot of injuries this season and there are many new players in the team.

Team news

Juventus

Out: Giorgio Chiellini (thigh), Jonathan Zebina (thigh), Vincenzo Iaquinta (meniscus)
Doubtful: Gianluigi Buffon (meniscus), Hasan Salihamidžić (ankle)
Suspended: none
Misses next match if booked: Mauro Camoranesi, Felipe Melo

• Ferrara said: "It's a pity not to have Chiellini because he was in great form. However I fully trust Legrottaglie. Trezeguet is available to play from the first minute."

Bayern München

Out: Franck Ribéry (knee), Luca Toni (groin), Hamit Altıntop (calf), Miroslav Klose (elbow)
Doubtful: Arjen Robben (knee), Daniel Van Buyten (eye)
Suspended: none
Misses next match if booked: none

• Robben returned to the fray against Mönchengladbach, coming off the bench in the second half. "Robben is fit, but I'll decide whether to start him or not after the last training session, as I always do," said Van Gaal.

• Van Buyten picked up an eye injury in that same match. "The medical staff say there's no fracture, but he has a swollen eye," explained Van Gaal.

Background

• Juventus are unbeaten in 16 home games in the UEFA Champions League. The Bianconeri suffered their last home reverse in Europe when losing 1-0 to RC Deportivo La Coruña in the first knockout round in 2003/04. Their defensive record in this time has been formidable with eleven clean sheets and just six goals conceded.

• Bayern travel to Italy with a strong recent record away from home in the UEFA Champions League – their last 12 fixtures have produced six wins, three draws and three defeats.
