I prefer a much more offense oriented style of play, with constant crosses and quick passing. The only other style that is similar to the Spaniards is the Dutch approach. Why do you favor the German style of play? Simply because of its success rate? Because the German style (and I am German myself, through my mother; and dearly love the country and culture) is not attractive. And IMO, if you cannot look good playing the beautiful game, then you have failed. This is why the Latin style of play is so much better, it is truly beautiful (Spain, Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, etc etc) I would love for my favorite club to try to play beautiful football and eventually succeed. I can only pray that FC Bayern plays like Barca some day.
Omg....Seriously, I thought you were smarter than this my friend....German style similar to ITALIAN??? omg....I feel like its an insult towards every german football fan. Lemme explain somethin, Italian aint a style, its more tactical defensive savageness(imagine Gattuso) while the german is more disciplined, physical and more organised style of play, If you wanna know more look back at the Hitzfeld days and if you want to go even way back look at the Beckenbauer days with the NT, startin from the back, progressing forward, creating openings, crossing and phyiscally beating your opponent, a well disciplined mentality, motivation and a good teamwork atmosphere. Thats how I saw from Germany, good quality players playin good quality football from their own style, Germany won everythin from their style through the ages and thats how it should be, its like tradition. Its got nothin to do with its success rate, success will eventually come when the team is united and plays their upmost. Btw Tomas, Arsenal did infact win some trophies with their beautiful football, they had quality in their Bergkamp days and won their share, but Arsenal are more into youngsters than Bayern, thats how we beat them, Experience, quality and a well focused style of play. ST, I cant comment on the non european styles. But SERIOUSLY you cant say that Bayern are playin good football, the results are strained, it doesnt look natural, 2 years ago we were playin good football and won the domestic double again, sure we failed against Zenit, but they had a favourable edge in terms of fitness, but look back and then now and see the difference. Last thing, Filo. The coach decides the style of play on the players and all this holland shit doesnt make sense, Cruyff was a genius as a footballer. Im not sayin Van Gaal is an idiot for giving young players a chance to shine, far from it. But the play is not idealistic, well atleast for Bayern anyway. Van Gaal's victory came in 1994-1995 with a solid Ajax, Kluivert, Davids, De Boer (both of them), Overmars, Litmanen and Seedorf. After that, nothin. Rijkaard, had a Ronaldinho in his team.

Well back to the game...

I really think that if we have three aspects tomorrow: motivation, organization and physical/mental strengh we will beat Juve.

I remmember that Hitzfeld once said (back when R.Madrid were the true R.Madrid) in 2001 that Bayern had to play with their feets hot and their head cold in order to win at the Santiago Bernabeu. That's exactly what we have to do tomorrow.

I just meant that true German style is too defensive for me. I would much prefer Bayern to play the Spanish style. But then I guess everyone would, it is the most successful and best looking. Mexico is not bad though, with young players like Dos Santos and Vela, the future looks bright for El Tri. But to everyone on here, IT ISN'T WORTH IT IF IT DOESN'T LOOK GOOD!!!!!! There is a reason why it is called the BEAUTIFUL Game, it is meant to look good. So all of you who argue that results are what counts, I would rather lose a fantastically played 5-4 highly offensive game with beautiful footballing, than a shitty 1-0 win off of a free kick in the 90th minute. The German style, my friends, is not beautiful.

So tomorrow, Bayern must ATTACK ATTACK ATTACK!!!! Early and often to catch the Juve defense off guard. I apologize, but I hate defensive battles, and defensive anything in just about any sport. I am all about offense.

Well Snake, I know that both you and I dearly want a Bayern win tomorrow. Who knows, it may be the monumental win we need to turn our season around?

Yep -- just win the damn game, who cares how it happens. Especially the way this season is going, I wouldn't care if this is the ugliest played game as long as we win.

As for the future:
Just put together a team that gets results. I would love to hear everyone say how Bayern always wins even on their bad days. In the old days Hitzfeld put together a team that did that, he cared about results not always how its played, it was the board that kept complaining about playing beautiful football like barca -- and they're the dreamers, except when we need results they are the first to complain. Bayern just needs to figure out what it wants: trophies or to be a team that plays beautiful football that may or may not win trophies.
