Nah man. Podolski has two faces. We should all know that by now.
He sucks at club level but when it comes to the NT, no one can criticize him. His numbers speak for themselves. He was pretty crappy for us when Euro 2008 came along but his performance in the tournament was something to take notice. |

See a lot of people say that but Im thinking they still have WC 2006 in their heads. Granted he improved in the Euros but not all that much. And since then he is about as efficient as he is with Köln. Now Im not saying that he is doomed. Im just saying that I hope Löw will keep in mind that if he plays crappy he should be substituted. Löw sometimes is a bit too loyal, which is a good thing but sometimes can bite you in the ass if you are blinded by it. Just look at the few matches in the past... S.A., Azerbaijan even Russia. Poldi should have been stellar against S.A. and Azer because they were 2 very beatable sides but he was way off form and got extremely lucky once or twice. I hope Poldi does well as he did in 2006 because he is one of my favorite players but he needs to be watched.

Really? Kuranyi really fucked himself with that childish temper of his. I would say keep Poldi but drop Cacau if we would bring in Kuranyi. Cacau has had a bit of a good run but hes about as efficient as Boateng when they put him out as a wingback (complete shit).

I hope that Podolski is not going to play as LM he is just not good on that position and with Marin, Hunt, Müller, Kroos, Özil and Trochowski we have enough player that can play on this position.
Müller, Kroos and even Träsch earned their call ups but why Benchperger and Schäfer are still in the squad is beyond me. |

In my opinion I think its that 'loyalty' thing. I bet money that if Frings didnt smack talk Löw he would still be wearing our NT shirt. I just hope that Löw has enough sense to bench both Hitzl and Schäfer until we absolutely need them and by that I mean our whole midfield has been decimated by plague!

My line-up for Germany is:
----------------------------Adler------------------------ -----Lahm------Mertesacker-------Tasci------Schaefer--- --------------------Ballack----Schweinsteiger------------- --------------Özil-----------------------------Jansen----- ----------------Gomez-------------------Kiessling--------- ...if not then: ----------------------------Adler------------------------
-----Lahm------Mertesacker-------Tasci------Schaefer--- ----------------------------Khedira---------------------- --------------------Ballack----Schweinsteiger------------- ----------------------------Özil--------------------------- ----------------Gomez-------------------Kiessling--------- |

Possible Lineups according to Kicker:
Germany: ----------------Adler-------------- Boateng--Merte--Tasci----Lahm -------Schweinst.-Ballack-------- -Müller------Özil-----------Poldi --------------Klose--------------- Argentina: --------Higuain--Messi--------- -di Maria------------Gutierrez- ---------Veron-Masch.--------- Heinze-Samuel-Micho-C.Rodriguez --------------Romero----------- Seriously why Podolski as LM when you have so many players that can play well on that position when Podolski has proven that even in the NT he can't play well as LM. |

LMFAO! Felipe, I just now noticed your "Kuranyi IN, Poldi OUT" comment. It is so ridiculous and you've disappointed me, mate.
For more, with your last comment, you still suggest that Podolski shouldn't be a starting player. I completely disagree, mate! Regardless of his form, Poldi has always (!) performed well for Germany. He deserves a starting place. His record speaks for itself. |

It's unfair to consider Podolski as a starter on the German NT just beacuse of his record. Kiessling deserves a chance, he has been greatly inform and then again Gomez has done greatly better than Podolski on this season. Kuranyi has scored a lot of goals, and under Magath he always rises his level.
The problem with the German NT, as I see it, is that we relly too much on past players that performed greatly on the past tournaments. Think about how much Podolski helped Germany to get into the WC? Also, Podolski scored goals against teams that are clearly below Germany's level... Give the chance for players that are passing in a good moment! It's only fair. Meanwhile Podolski plays like shit for Köln and Kiessling/Kuranyi are having a great season, they have to stick to the bench cause Podolski usually delivers for Germany. I hope that if Löw sticks with Poldi, that he delivers. I'm just syaing is unfair for the players that have worked their ass-off during this last four years, to give in for a Podolski that quite frankly was a dissapointment on Bayern and that has been shit in Köln. Also, if we are talking about records, then call back Lehmann/Friedrich/Metzelder who have "better" records than Adler, Tasci and Boateng. |

Always?! Then you must have missed most of the Euro '08 matches and some of the qualifying matches for WC 2010... because if you are serious you cant use the words "ALWAYS" and "WELL" when talking about Poldi's performances as of late. |
