I think waiting 'till the end of the World Cup is a good idea cuz' i don't want Löw to be still Germany's NT coach when screws (hope that doesn't happened) in The World cup

Sammer, Hitzfeld, Heynckes, Ragnick are all good candidates.

What about...

Van Gaal won't rule out Germany coaching job

Quote:
Louis van Gaal has not ruled out a return to international football in the future. The Bayern München coach also revealed that he would be open for a job as Germany coach in the future.

"Let's wait and see. I might be a real German in two years from now," Van Gaal told the Frankfurter Allgemeinen Sonntagszeitung. I think Bayern could be my final club. I would like to play a part in the World Cup, or similarly at a UEFA Euro tournament. I am looking forward to experiencing these tournaments."

Rummenigge on the German FA’s failed talks with national coach Joachim Löw:

Quote:
“The DFB has made mistakes, claiming hands had been shaken on a deal before Christmas, which Joachim Löw now says wasn’t the case. The biggest mistake was letting it all out into the open. The DFB clearly has a problem with a mole. I urge them to reach agreement with someone as good as Joachim Löw. He’s been there for six years, he was partly responsible for the stunning summer of 2006, he took Germany to second place at the EURO eighteen months ago, and he’s qualified for the World Cup unbeaten. He deserves respect, he shouldn’t be given ultimatums, and he should be offered a sensible contract. The DFB should find a solution quickly. There are still five months until the World Cup, but the topic won’t go away until there’s a solution. The parties should sit down and work out a fair deal, otherwise I can see the whole of football and especially the national team descending into conflict. Oliver Bierhoff went too far in demanding a veto over coaching appointments, but I’m sure he’s prepared to drop that unacceptable demand.“

Germany coach Joachim Low is set to land a new two-year contract extension

Quote:
The coach guided his country to the semi-finals of the World Cup in South Africa and Low is expected to pen a deal after the German Football Federation (DFB) called a press conference on Tuesday.

The extension would retain Low as the German national team coach until 2012, alongside team manager Oliver Bierhoff and assistant coaches Hans-Dieter Flick and Andreas Koepke.

Low's existing four-year deal expired on 30th June and attempts to keep hold of the 50-year-old prior to the tournament stalled over financial details and management of the Under-21 side.

But the former Fenerbahce boss has been rewarded for guiding the team - with a new brand of counter-attacking football - to a third-place finish in this summer's competition.

They demolished England 4-1 in the round of 16 before seeing off a heavily-favoured Argentina side 4-0 to reach the semis, where they were defeated by Spain.

Low has won 38 out of 55 matches since he succeeded Jurgen Klinsmann after the 2006 World Cup, taking Germany to the runners-up spot at Euro 2008.

Loew deserves it, he has done a great job so far. If he wins Euro 2012 then he should guide Germany to victory in Brazil 2014.

Good, they should also make sure to run his contract until late July this time so he doesn't have to work for "free"

If he wins the Euro 2012 extend until 2014, if not, Bayern and Deutschland swap coaches.

Ballack ruled out of Denmark friendly

Quote:
German midfielder Michael Ballack, who missed the 2010 FIFA World Cup South Africa™ because of an ankle injury, is not fit enough to play in next month's friendly against Denmark, his Bayer Leverkusen coach has revealed.

The former Chelsea player, who returned to his old club during the summer, began training with his new team-mates last week, but Jupp Heynckes does not think he will be ready for the 11 August friendly.

"The match against Denmark is too soon for him. There's no point in thinking about it," Heynckes told Bild. "It would be foolhardy. For a friendly game you have to be fully fit."

The 33-year-old injured his ankle in his last appearance for Chelsea in the FA Cup final in May, and subsequently saw Germany's captaincy passed to Bayern Munich's Philipp Lahm for South Africa 2010.

Coach Joachim Low indicated last week that he would speak to both players about their future roles in the national team just before the Denmark game.

Ballack should realize that he is not part of the new German team, he just doesnt fit in the new style of playing.

I agree but at the same time, he was the type of player we sorely missed against Spain in the World Cup.

^ No way man, he was "sorely missed" in the Final of Euro 2008 as well... And he was in the field!

Let's just wait to see how Ballack performs in the Bundesliga before we rule him out

I have high hopes for a Bender to break through in the coming year or two seeing as Khedira may end up sitting on the bench of Real Madrid.

Germany to play Brazil in friendly next year
Quote:
Germany will play Brazil in August 2011 in Stuttgart in a friendly pitting two teams with eight World Cup titles between them.

The match will be played August 10 next year to mark the end of the renovation of the Stuttgart stadium.

Germany coach Joachim Loew says "it's a classic. We are looking forward to an attractive game that will be an important test for both teams."
