Subotic signs Dortmund deal

Quote:
Borussia Dortmund youngster Neven Subotic has silenced speculation regarding his future and signed a new five-year deal with the German club.

The 20-year-old has been linked with a move elsewhere this summer with Everton supposedly strongly interested after an impressive season in the Bundesliga.

The defender only signed for Dortmund last year with manager Jurgen Klopp bringing him to the club from FSV Mainz.

Despite Dortmund securing the player's immediate future Subotic insists that a move to a major team in Europe at the end of his new deal would be best for both him and the club.

"I am just 25-years of age in five years time," he told Bild. "If I would have the desire to move on that would still be a good time.

Progress

"Staying is best for me. I made progress at Dortmund last season and it would be too early to move abroad.

"I still have a lot to learn. At this point in time it would take an extraordinary bid to see me leaving.

"This would be great for both, Borussia Dortmund and me. They would have big money and I would know that this new club is really interested in me as a player."

Quote:
Swiss striker Alexander Frei is to return to his homeland and is set to join FC Basel.

The secret is out of the bag with the news being confirmed that Borussia Dortmund striker Alexander Frei is to return home and join FC Basel.

Both clubs have come to an agreement to take the Swiss international back to his homeland for a reported €4.25 million with a three-year contract agreed. He will undergo a medical on Saturday and then be officially unveiled.

“We tried all we could to convince him to stay, but were not successful” Borussia Dortmund business manager Hans-Joachim Watzke told Kicker.

Dortmund will now start the search for a replacement forward.

“We will completely reinvest this money” he added.

Dortmund have been linked with a move for 20-year-old Polish striker Robert Lewandowski from Lech Poznan in recent weeks.

Official: Borussia Dortmund Sign Damien Le Tallec From Stade Rennais

Quote:
The young forward will ply his trade in Germany next term...

On Thursday, a report emerged that Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund were interested in signing young attacker Damien Le Tallec from Stade Rennais, and the transfer has already been concluded.

The French outfit confirmed on their official website that the 19-year-old will leave Rennes in order to join Dortmund for an undisclosed fee. Le Tallec has signed a three-year deal with the Germans.

The promising forward never made a league appearance for the Ligue 1 side, but he had impressed the Borussia scouts with a number of impressive performances for France Under-19s.

Le Tallec is the younger brother of former Liverpool attacker Anthony Le Tallec, who is now with Le Mans.

The French youngster is BVB's third attacking reinforcement of the summer, with the arrival of Dimitar Rangelov and Lucas Barrios preceding his signing. However, Dortmund had to let go of Alexander Frei.

The 28-year-old actually picked up the problem on 3 October against Borussia Mönchengladbach, but upon travelling to meet up with his international colleagues, it was decided he should be sent home to recuperate fully. Precisely how long the Dortmund star will be out for is unknown, but the news will no doubt come as a major blow to coach Jürgen Klopp

Borussia Dortmund Keen To Offload Paraguayan Forward Nelson Valdez - Report

Quote:
BVB are supposedly ready to cash in on the attacker this summer...

Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund are ready to cash in on Paraguayan attacker Nelson Valdez in the upcoming summer transfer window, if a report in Bild is to be believed.

BVB are eager to add Polish attacker Robert Lewandowski to their squad this summer, but they lack the financial resources to meet Lech Poznan's hefty asking price and are therefore keen to sell some players.

Tamas Hajnal, Florian Kringe and Dimitar Rangelov are also candidates to leave the club, but Valdez is the primary candidate to be offloaded. The 26-year-old forward has mainly been warming the bench this season and recently expressed his desire to move to the Primera Division.

Valdez's current contract at Borussia is due to expire in the summer of 2012, but Dortmund are more than happy to cash in on the Paraguayan international if an offer in the region of €3 million comes in.

Internacional Sign Tinga From Borussia Dortmund

Quote:
The holding midfielder will return to Brazil this summer

Brazilian outfit Internacional have completed the transfer of experienced holding midfielder Tinga from Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund on a free transfer. Tinga has signed a two-year deal at his new club.

The 32-year-old previously enjoyed a successful spell at Internacional from 2005 to 2006, when he played a major role in his side's Copa Libertadores victory.

Tinga then left the club for a German adventure at Borussia Dortmund and quickly developed into a key player at BVB. The midfielder has made 99 Bundesliga appearances for Dortmund in the past four seasons.

However, he lost his spot in the starting XI to Nuri Sahin this term and was told that his expiring contract won't be extended.

Tinga then revealed his desire to return to Brazil at the end of the season and has now found a new club in Internacional.

Borussia Dortmund Set To Sign Lech Poznan Star Robert Lewandowski - Report

Quote:
The clubs have reportedly agreed terms over the transfer of Lewandowski...

Ambitious Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund have reached an agreement with Polish side Lech Poznan for the transfer of striker Robert Lewandowski, according to a report in Bild.

BVB are eager to add another attacker to their squad due to the expected departure of Nelson Valdez this summer and they see Lewandowski as the perfect addition to their squad.

Negotiations between Lech Poznan and Dortmund had been going on for several weeks already, but the two sides have now finally agreed on a transfer fee in the region of €5 million.

The 21-year-old Lewandowski had also attracted the interest of clubs such as Napoli, Sampdoria, Fulham, Blackburn Rovers and PSV, but he always made it clear that he wanted to join Dortmund.

Borussia have yet to confirm the transfer of Lewandowski, but the transfer could be official by the end of the week.

Official: Borussia Dortmund Sign Cerezo Osaka Star Shinji Kagawa

Quote:
The Japanese youngster will ply his trade in the Bundesliga next term

Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund have completed the transfer of highly rated youngster Shinji Kagawa from Japanese side Cerezo Osaka for a reported fee of €350,000.

The 21-year-old attacking midfielder started his professional career at Cerezo Osaka in 2006 and has since developed into the star player of the Japanese club.

Kagawa is widely considered to be one of Asia's most promising youngsters and was being linked with a move to Europe for several months. He appeared to be on his way to Eredivisie outfit VVV last winter, but the transfer eventually fell through.

Despite his superb form in the past couple of months, Japan coach Takeshi Okada opted not to give Kagawa a call-up for this summer's World Cup in South Africa.

Borussia Dortmund recently secured qualification for next year's Europa League and are keen to add some fresh blood to their squad this summer in order to be competitive in Europe.

Florian Kringe: I Will Leave Borussia Dortmund This Summer

Quote:
Kringe wants first team action, and he won’t get it with BVB...

Striker Florian Kringe has announced that he has no intention of becoming a bit part player for Borussia Dortmund over the remaining year of his contract and has announced his desire to leave the club via Kicker.

A youth with BVB from 1994, when he was only 12, Kringe ultimately graduated into the senior squad in 2001, though he has struggled to hold down a regular first team play since. Three years were spent on loan at Koeln, and at the end of August 2009, the 27-year-old was shipped out to Hertha on another temporary transfer.

With the season over, the midfielder’s future is again up in the air, but he doesn’t believe there’s much prospect of him playing regularly at Signal Iduna Park, where competition for places has been increased by the emergence of Kevin Grosskreutz on the left. Having met with sporting director Michael Zorc and agent Thomas Kroth, a move now seems inevitable.

“We did not beat about the bush,” Kringe said. “We are now trying to quickly find a good solution.

“I have no desire to simply serve out this contract.”

Presently Kringe is trying to overcome a broken bone in his foot and is still reduced to limping around on crutches.

Official: Borussia Dortmund Sign Hertha Berlin's Lukas Piszczek

Quote:
The Polish international has signed a contract with Borussia Dortmund...

Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund have secured the services of versatile Polish midfielder Lukas Piszczek from Hertha Berlin on a free transfer. Piszczek has signed a contract until the summer of 2013 with Borussia.

Dortmund have qualified for Europa League football next season and head coach Juergen Klopp is eager to add some more depth to his squad in the summer transfer window.

Piszczek joined Hertha Berlin from Gwarek Zabrze in the summer of 2004 and was then farmed out on loan to Zaglebie Lubin. The 24-year-old returned to Berlin in 2007 and had since developed into an important first team member at the Alte Dame.

However, Piszczek was eager to move to a bigger club after Hertha's relegation this season and has therefore decided to leave the club on a Bosman move.

BVB previously secured the services of Australian shot stopper Mitch Langerak and Japanese forward Shinji Kagawa.

Lech Poznan Striker Robert Lewandowski Set To Join Borussia Dortmund - Report

Quote:
The Polish international appears to be on the verge of joining Borussia Dortmund...

If a report in Bild is to be believed, ambitious Bundesliga outfit Borussia Dortmund are on the verge of signing Polish international Robert Lewandowski from Lech Poznan for a reputed fee of €4.5 million.

The report suggests that Dortmund have already agreed personal terms with the 21-year-old attacker and that the transfer could be a done deal by the end of the week.

Lewandowski supposedly arrived in Dortmund on Thursday morning to undergo a medical test and the young forward passed the medical without any noteworthy problems.

Dortmund have yet to reach an agreement with Poznan about a transfer fee. The Polish side are reportedly ready to part company with their star striker for a fee of €4.5 million and Dortmund could now be ready to match Poznan's demands.

Lewandowski would be Dortmund's fourth signing of the summer transfer window. They previously secured the services of Lukas Piszczek, Mitch Langerak and Shinji Kagawa.

Manchester City striker Roque Santa Cruz on Borussia Dortmund's radar

Quote:
Borussia Dortmund are set to offer Manchester City striker Roque Santa Cruz a return to the Bundesliga, according to The Mirror.

The 28-year old striker has failed to impress at Eastlands, with form and fitness worries restricting him to just six Premier League starts last year. After spending eight years at Bayern Munich before moving to the Premier League, Dortmund could be an attractive proposition for him.
