Not everyone has an inmidiate impact as Ribery and Toni had mate. Give Gomez some time and he will get it. Poldi had 3 years and proved nothing! Gomez dosent even have 5 months here and we are already talking about him being a "second Podolski".
Anyway, is not like Gomez is the only one missing chances. Klose, Olic, even Ribery and Schweinsteiger have missed chances. Oh, and Gomez is still our top goalscorear... even if he is in a low performance right now. Besides, Gomez hasn't even been a starter in the last matches and without assists from midfield, you can expect him to do miracles. Robben coming back will be a hughe boost for our match at France against Bordeaux. |

imo gomez is just unlucky with his timing comming into bayern. the team is not playing well at all at the moment, and he is one of the main targets for hate and blame. and it cant be easy for a striker like gomez to come in with a new 4-3-3 formation.

It seems that Super Mario is not fit with Van Gaal, his philosophy, and his tactical system. (I have tried Gomez several time in a 4-3-3 formation in Football Manager, it didn't work neither
). I hope an experienced man like Van Gaal can find a solution. Both he and Gomez do not have to be responsible for this. It's the Board. I just can't understand what the hell are they thinking in their mind. They bought Gomez for over 30 millions, with a plan of playing him along side Klose, to replace older Toni, and then they suddenly hired Van Gaal, a typical Dutch tactician who has never liked to work with two box strikers, and then suddenly they bought Robben, which lead to the fact that, there will be no room for both Ribery and Robben and two other strikers. It will be verry funny if Toni play well and earn his starting spot in the coming matches. Poor Van Gaal and poor Hoeness, what will they do with Gomez, and Klose? |

Gomez: "Van Gaal wants me to make vertical runs into the final third, making the space less limited. That's not an easy process. It won't happen over night. But the coach wants me to do it and it basically plays to my strengths. I only have to get used to the defensive-minded opponents."

i think this guy must wait this year and maybe the next and he will be our first striker . He is surrounded by great players with experience and talent he should learn from them to become a great player.I am not waiting too mutch from him this year but next year he must show us why we paid 30m for him.

Gomez: "Some people think I'm a lazy bastard who moans all the time. I want to emphasize that I'm not complaining."
"I have never played alone upfront in my career. I have never played against such defensive-minded opponents. I didn't see those adjustment problems coming." "Louis van Gaal is unique. I have never had a coach like that." Bild.de |
