Unfortunately I was wrong about the team actually winning without Ribéry, I guess we are back to where we were last season -- rely on Ribéry. I get the feeling sometimes that Bayern wants to do poorly without him so we can show how much we need him -- if that's the case then I am sure he will leave. We have to be proving we can win without him so he wants to be part of a winning team.

In an new interview with "SportBild", Franck Ribéry said:
- he was hurt by the accusations that he faked injuries. - for every footballer, and especially for him, it's important to be on the field and to play. - the club means a lot to him and he wants to pay back the club on the pitch. - he likes Hoeness and values his experience. - anything is possible about a contract extension. - it's important how things develop at the club. - he dreams of winning the Champions League. - he will give it a try as the 'number 10'. |

I like the possibility of a contract extensions, but the point about important how things develop at the club and winning the CL cause serious issues with losing Ribéry unless Bayern turn things around. If he is willing to give it a try as #10, then excellent -- because then if he doesn't work and Bayern has noone else then it will force a formation change-- if it does work out, then we play with the #10 role when Ribéry is available.

If he were to accept an extension and take on the number 10 role, that would be awesome!!! |

I knew Franck Ribery was a classy footballer! Great Franck. I don't him leaving though, but honestly, a true gentleman answering that way. I hope he proves it on the pitch and... FUCK YOU ZIDANE, SPANISH PRESS AND MADRID! YOUR LITTLE MIND GAME DIDN'T WORK!

Yep -- alot of media still trying to put a wedge between Ribéry and Bayern. From pictures I saw on Bayerns official website since Summer it looked like Ribéry was happy with the coach and they both were smiling. Sure LvG is a stickler for discipline, and that is good for the team as we all have been hearing how LvG has been speaking with each player and what wonders it has done for the wolfsburg game.
Anyway, it also sounds like Ribéry is surprised that Bayern haven't proposed a contract extension, but the media kept saying how he rejected an extension during the Summer. The media is full of shit. I hope Bayern do offer a great extension by a couple of more years with a massive salary, then after that he can go to La Liga and play for Barca and not Real.
