Hoeness on Ribery:

"Did you ever have the feeling we would give in? Did we ever show a sign of weakness?"

Jorge Valdano is sure that Ribery is joining Madrid in 2010 at the latest. "Then I congratulate Mr Valdano."

"Franck will be on our training pitch on July 1st."

About the rumored €8M salary: "You sould ask the people who spread those things. I don't talk about money."

Nerlinger on Ribery:

''We have got to provide Franck with the perspective of being on the same level as Europe's elite."

''That is what he wants and then he will be happy in Munich.''

''In the mid-term, we will have very, very positive conditions here."

''We have got to offer him a top European club.''

''Obviously Ribery himself is decisive: what does he want and how does he behave."

For €80 Million Bayern Will Sell Ribery - Hitzfeld

Quote:
Bayern Munich may claim Franck Ribery is not for sale, but their former coach thinks he has a price...

Ottmar Hitzfeld believes that Bayern Munich would let Franck Ribery leave if a club were to offer between €70 million and €80 million, despite their claims to the contrary.

The Bavarian club's former trainer knows how things are done at the Allianz Arena and considers that if a huge bid was actually put in, then they could not say no.

Ribery's next move has been the subject of a long-running saga with several of Europe's biggest clubs being linked with the diminutive French star.

Real Madrid and Barcelona both made contact with Bayern, while Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea are all said to have mooted making their interest official.

But Bayern have stated on more than one occasion that they do not want to sell, although Hitzfeld thinks that would not be the case if a mega offer was made.

"Bayern is a club that makes its calculations with calmly," he told Sports Bild.

"If a club is willing to pay between €70 million and €80 million that Bayern would be obliged to react."

Hoeness:

"I asked his right-hand man Pedro Lopez Jimenez, since Florentino (Perez) does not speak English all that well, whether he knows the game Monopoly."

"I told him that Bayern had bought Mayfair on Monopoly two years ago and you don't give Mayfair away that easily."

"We would only consider it if somebody did something crazy."

"There were a few enquiries from the top people at Madrid because we are only prepared to speak with the president or his right-hand man."

Franck Ribery Rejects New Bayern Munich Contract - Report
The Frenchman has allegedly said 'no' to an offer of €8 million per year...

Quote:
Europe’s heavyweight clubs have been put on high alert after Sport reported that Franck Ribery has rejected a contract improvement from Bayern Munich.

The Bavarian outfit have persistently shot down all advances from potential suitors, especially from Real Madrid, and the club’s obstinate approach does not sit well with the French attacker.

The Barcelona-based paper believes that Die Bayern are now trying to convince ‘Scarface’ to stay at the Allianz Arena by offering him €8 million per year, reportedly double what he is currently earning, but he has turned down the offer.

This could be seen as Ribery’s first move to show his discontent, which could subsequently lead to the player demanding to be transfer listed.

Bayern had previously slapped a €100m price tag on the 26-year-old, while former coach Ottmar Hitzfield yesterday predicted that the Munich outfit would only be interested if an offer arrived around the region of €70m to €80m.

If Ribery is eventually allowed to leave, Chelsea and Manchester United could find themselves in the driver's seat for his signature, especially as Madrid look set to part with another €35m for Karim Benzema.

Firstly its a spanish media BS

Secondly its goal,com

And last, it was always expected that he will not increase. So nothing suprising in it. He has a contract till 2011. So if we sell him this season, we will get double the money we get for him next season. If we dont sell him at all, till his contract expires. Then expect another bosman transfer.

PARIS, July 2 (Reuters) - Franck Ribery wants to leave Bayern Munich and join Real Madrid, sports daily L'Equipe quoted the France midfielder as saying on Thursday.

Ribery's compatriot Karim Benzema has already agreed to join the Spanish side from Olympique Lyon and become Real's third major signing after Brazil's Kaka and Portugal's Cristiano Ronaldo.

"I have made up my mind, I want to leave," Ribery told Thursday's issue of L'Equipe. "It will be Real (Madrid) or nothing.

Bayern officials have repeatedly said the 26-year-old Ribery, who joined them in 2007 from Olympique Marseille, was not for sale.

Damn.

If he really said/meant that, it is for sure he's leaving next summer, if not now.

I don't know if it's even worth keeping him for this season, he won't be focused.

Fuck Ribery. Go get 60m €, buy a right-back and a goalkeeper. There will be some money left to buy another attacking midfielder as well, or we could just keep Borowski.
