According to FC Bayern's official website, Robben will be ruled out of action for up to four weeks. A thorough examination of Robben's right knee discovered only a minor ligament tear and he will undergo surgery in the next 24 hours in Augsburg.

I know its a blow, but considering that he is Mr. Glass, 3 weeks is nothing! Im just glad its not a serious injury.

Robben will miss 4 bundesliga matchs and our the game against Bordeaux, at least. that if everything went allright. iam just afraid that Van Gaal wont keep on saying "he is not ready yet" for another month.

Good news! Robben is ready to start working again next week, according to FCB website.

The Dutch ace may be in contention in 3 weeks, not 4 as it was estimated initially.

Yes! One week after the operation, Robben is now walking without crutches.

Arjen Robben Returns To Training
Quote:
The Dutch attacker is on his way back after a knee operation. It has been postulated that he could be back playing in less than a fortnight

German powerhouse Bayern Munich feared that they would be without tricky winger Arjen Robben for several months, but the Dutch attacker is recovering quicker than expected.

The former Real Madrid star picked up a knee injury in the 0-0 Champions League draw against Juventus on September 30 and underwent surgery to cure the problem.

According to a report in German newspaper Bild, Robben has already returned to training. The Dutch international was spotted on the training pitch on Wednesday doing some individual training with the ball.

The 25-year-old will not be match fit in time for this weekend's clash against Freiburg, but Robben is expected to return to regular training next week. He could return to match action in the league game against Eintracht Frankfurt on October 24.

Good news! Robben will be available against Freiburg.

Quote:
Bayern superstar Arjen Robben has defied the odds with a much faster than expected recovery from surgery, and is likely to return to the matchday squad for Saturday’s Bundesliga trip to Freiburg. The Dutch winger went under the surgeon’s knife to repair an inflammation of the knee just two weeks ago. “Robben’s recovered unbelievably quickly,” Louis van Gaal reported on Thursday.

Robben completed an arduous fitness training session on Wednesday. “If there’s no reaction, he’ll start on the bench at least,” Van Gaal continued. Robben injured the knee in the Champions League meeting with Juventus and was sent for surgery immediately afterwards. At the time, the striker was expected to be sidelined for three to four weeks.

Amaizing! It was RM after all. If he had this injury with RM, I can assure you that he'd notbe willing to play until he was 100% fit, so another 3 or 4 weeks we'd had to wait.

He wants to play with Bayern and has a very possitive attitude.

Well, our med unit have always been good. I'm glad they've been able to reduce Robben's time in the injury room.
