It definitely was, but thats easier to say now. I am sure most of us were ecstatic when we found out he would be our coach. I even remember thinking of how scary the team would be after Pep got a hold of them, considering what Jupp was able to do with them. So yes, now it doesnt seem to have been the best decision, but I think they needed to make the decision then to lock him up.

Ιt's hard to change your mind if Pep was the main reason to support Bayern....

yeah and that's also what I thought at first
we won the treble , we added Gotze & Thiago to the team , we were also very close to add Lewandowski

I thought like we were going to dominate Europe for the remaining 3 years or so

but look where we are now ... I think we should never hire a new coach while the current one is still in charge

You joke, but I honestly think that it was the shedding of Van Gaal's influence in the Pep era that is mainly responsible for the state of our current team. I don't want to bring back Van Gaal, but I'd love to bring back the foundation he laid for us which now seems gone.

I spoke about it earlier today. As Arjen was introduced to the game, he brought dynamism, class, options, depth to our rather toothless attack in first half. Having another WC winger who can give options is still welcome. Now that this guy knows his options are dwindling, he might lower his expectations in order to win something or at least be part of a better thing than Arsenal, which won't even get their beloved 4th place this year.

His class isn't hidden from anybody, only obstacle was his wage demands, let's see how it turns out. If this piece of news is reliable inside news, it means we are still waiting for Alexis signal to start negotiations.

simple, he lowers his price and wants in he'll be brought in. Not for more than Lewy though.

Would be a really big surprise to get him for free.

I think our chance are like 5%.

Maybe a Man City and PSG shit season while Bayern is great is the key.

But no doubt the money guy will chose Qatar Saint Germain or Emirats City.

getting him for free next season doesn't mean much IMO

We should get him this season , next season Robbery will leave (or at least Ribery) and Gnabry will be coming back

This year or never!
We can not relay on old and injury prone wingers.
If we don't buy him this year next we need to buy someone younger but WC!
