@ Tomas - There were I don't know how many Russians around after the fall of communism, many of them were smart. Roman was there as well and took advantage as any clever person would. Anyway onto football. Unless I misunderstood you, you claim that Alex is very important to our defence like Lahm is to your defence? Well I'm telling you he isn't. He is a gd player but Ivanovic is just as gd and more flexible.
@ Filo. Ronaldo was overpriced I don't disagree. Anyway Chelsea didn't buy any top class player this season because Milan, Atletico and Bayern were asking for extortionate prices for both Pato, Aguero and Ribery and we weren't going to be held to ransom...Roman actually came out and said I am willing to spend big this summer. Not kidding you at all AC Milan are in for him...how else do you expect them to rejuvenate their team. The have a couple of Brazilians and Leonardo clearly likes Alex as well and knows how gd he is. I also read that Bayern needed to take out a loan from the bank to buy Robben...not sure if it is true. Finally and back on topic. I doubt it Ramy tbh. He has made up his mind I think, last couple of seasons he has wanted to leave. Atm he is out injured (still) from his double hernia operation. I don't think that Ancelotti will be able to convince him to stay on the bench for another season. |

No. Bayern did NOT need to take out a loan. Regardless of the recent world wide recession, look at Bayern's figures over the last few seasons -- Bayern have money in the bank and money to burn. The amounts paid for all transfers this season would not have put Bayern out to the point of getting a loan. stories are made up to offset Real Madrid's loans and they are angry at not getting Ribéry. Plus most of the English teams are heavily in debt, including Chelsea regardless of Abramovich, as he has been hit hard by the world's markets, which is why Chelsea were choosing to sell rather than buy and Chelsea have been losing massive amounts of money every season, so they realize its not profitable to just buy a team of stars that don't win Champions Leagues, but to build a "smart" team.
Anyway, Bayern themselves have said they are fine, otherwise Robben would have never happened. Also look at the stories over the last couple of days about investing in Bayern -- Audi are upping their investment in Bayern to at least 10% stake, and Hoeness stated more investments coming as well from other companies, which will help in future transfers and allow Bayern to continue making profits and never go into debt.
