New defensive midfielder?

"Stuttgarter Zeitung" claims that FC Bayern are interested in Sami Khedira as a replacement for Mark van Bommel.

That may happen in the summer, but not now at all...I think giving Alaba and Ekci the chance is a better choice... Alaba was very good yesterday

Christian Nerlinger on…

…rumoured interest in Stuttgart’s Sami Khedira: “It’s pure speculation. There’s been no contact with the player, his agent or VfB Stuttgart. We basically don’t want to comment on every rumour in the media. Our current team’s coming on really well, and it’ll be hard to find players better than the ones we already have.”

If Bommel dosen't extend his contract by any reason, then Khedira would be great.

There are much players who r much better than Khedira in defensive midfielder place... Specially the Italians... Montolivo, D'Agostino, in spain there are Ever Banega from Valencia who is one of the best ive ever watched, and theres Ignacio Camacho who is a hot prospect in spanish football... and there are many many more.. i dont know, but I feel Khedira wont b the right choice

Kala might have a point, too bad Leverkusen will never be interested in sellin Rolfes, but for now Bayern are fine the way they are now.

Jeremy Toulalan

Quote:
According to a report in France Football, joint Bundesliga table toppers Bayern Munich are closely monitoring highly rated Olympique Lyon midfielder Jeremy Toulalan.

Bayern coach Louis van Gaal isn't completely satisfied with the performances of Anatoliy Tymoshchuk, while Dutch midfielder Mark van Bommel has an expiring contract with the Bavarians.

Therefore, FC Hollywood are in the market for a new midfielder and van Gaal has seemingly made Toulalan his primary transfer target.

The 26-year-old is reportedly looking for a new challenge and Olympique Lyon are willing to cash in on the French international if an offer in the region of €20 million comes in.

However, Bayern face stiff competition in the race for Toulalan's signature. Serie A giants Inter and Milan are also interested in luring the midfielder away from Lyon.

The only way for this guy to make his way here is if Tymo left.

Great player, but if Van Bommel stays I don't see the point of this signing as it would just be an even more expensive sub than Tymos.

"SportBild" claims Bayern are looking for a new defensive midfielder.

Possible candidates are Toulalan (Lyon), Cheyrou (Marseille), Khedira or Träsch (Stuttgart).
