At least Valdes is better than Rensing (Fact).

Last season Valdes was one of success keys of Barcelona, I watched most of Barcelonas matches and he was great.

Valdes skills are better than rensing.

Reflexes, Positioning, Handling.... etc

Van Gaal: "I will have to closely monitor the situation in the next two weeks. Then I will decide whether what we have is enough or not. Maybe we will sign a new goalkeeper. If we sell Ribery we will have enough money. A good goalkeeper is very important."

Admitting the selling of Ribéry. True we would have extra money to buy a keeper and Bosingwa -- especially if we get alot of money + some decent midfielders and we could have all kinds of new players. Nonetheless I think Bayern ABSOLUTELY NEED to get a keeper even if they claim not to have the money. Hell, look at Real, Barca, ManU, Milan, etc always in debt to buy stars, and yet Bayern won't go into debt spending €20 mill on a keeper like Frey and spending what's necessary to get Bosingwa either.

Neuer: "No one from FC Bayern have spoken with me personally about a transfer."

"And that would have been pointless. I will be at Schalke in goal and I have a long-term contract here."

Does this buy-out clause apply to German clubs or just foreign clubs?

It was reported back in June that he has a €25M get-out clause in his contract, and only for English clubs.

Something that I don't understand.

Why it's only for English clubs?

I think it is because of how they spend. Until Real came about this spring it was mostly English clubs that went way beyond "normal spending" habits. I could be wrong on this but I think that is why.
I would rather see Adler here than Neuer anyway but I dont see it happening anytime soon. I think we will be stuck with Rensing this year and possibly the next.
