Sanches as DCM doesn't work, he proved it in Bayern multiple times, he doesn't have enough discipline to be effective defensively and have Thiago's back while he's completely restricted offensively that way.

I see him best as one of the two CM's in 4-3-3 or 4-1-2-1-2 diamond or in 3-5-2.
You need to have experience and age to be discipline for defensive job.
Now he is older and with right coach he can become good DM becouse he have fisical predispositions.
    In the End...
He proved defensive skils vs Croatia.

    Thiago Sanches Goretzka
If we still belive that Sanches can do something in Bayern?

For me our best DCM is still Javi and if we don't buy new DCM best midfield for me is Thiago Javi Goretzka.

    Υοur respectful opinion, bro.
I don't even count Arsenal as a big game.

    Dortmund?
    You mean last Saturday?

Come on mate, stop this conversation...please.
You won't convience me and neither will I.

Still i repeat that my point isn't to value Thiago as a player.
Are you telling me that in all these games you mentioned he played as a #6?

I was specific in my arguement.

But anyway since you brought it up, you do realise that you're talking about one big game for a player that's been playing in Munich for 6 seasons?

Anyway, I' don't intend to down grade Thiago as a player.
My point is that there are specific games agains strong counter attacking teams that we must use a Kante-type player in-six.
Or else, withe the kind of high line defence we use, we'll get fucked hard.

I'm not against at using Thiago as #6 in most home games!

    That's my point!

One way or another, I think everyone can agree that Thiago needs a competitor in the squad. He's the only one we have who does what he does.

Considering Sané deal is done, i don't think we'll spend anymore. I'm one of those who aren't backing up for Kimmich playing in midfield but do we have anyone who is able to cover #6 position like Thiago? I don't think so. Maybe Tolisso, but it would take some time. I think both setups look dangerous enough.

I don't mind to see Javi in the #6 position too but he's damn too prone to injuries and not really constant in his game.

Esp. the way he did vs Dortmund....

Mark my words, with those kind of #6 we'll be ruined in Bernabeu, Turin S.I.P and Camp Nou especially.
Javi can't save our asses anymore!

I know Niko said he wants to play 4-3-3 .. but it's not necessary to stick to it if it's not working.
I mean our squad is versatile enough to play any formation. So we could still use 4-2-3-1

I think Kimmich isn´t good enough in midfield but I agree that both setups looks able to compete.
