  • The players didn't have a break, didn't have a pre-season, they are playing a game each 3-4 days, 2-3 key players got injured ...
I can understand why we're not playing our best football

BUT, some of his decisions are weird. You don't trust Roca? Fine, but why on earth do you have to start with Javi in midfield against RB Leipzig?
And what's wrong with those weird formations? 3-4-3 against Atletico, 4-1-4-1 against Werder and Leipzig. And when he plays with a 4-2-3-1 formation, he uses Goretkza-Tolisso duo in midfield.

Moreover, why do you sub Coman out when he is our best attacking player/winger and after giving 3 assists? And guess who came in? Douglas Costa ...

I don't understand this post. Flick was playing fairly conservative 4231 formations all the time before Kimmich got injured. Kimmich got injured and Flick is trying to find the best formation without him. You don't like 4231, but don't want Tolisso+Goretzka either? I mean, the natural answer would be Roca+Goretzka but apparently, something is deeply wrong with Roca. Given that, the best MF is Gor+Tol. Today, Tolisso wasn't available, so Flick went with 4231 with Javi. Javi sucked and also got injured, so Flick went with a 4141 (which was as good as it gets for a third or fourth choice formation btw).

So, what I'm saying is I just don't understand what is it that you want Flick to do???

PD: Coman sub is just to keep him healthy and, well... Costa is what the board gave Flick as a fourth winger.

I want us to play 4-2-3-1, but not with Goretzka-Tolisso in midfield. Tolisso should be Leon's backup (or vice-versa). They shouldn't play together.
Javi can be an option, but not against Leipzig. We have Roca, Kouassi and Alaba who can fill that spot (playing alongside Goretzka).

We are vulnerable at the back, and playing with Goretzka as a lone midfielder should never be an option IMO.

So Coman was subbed in the 83rd min to keep him healthy? Playing the last 7 minutes will get him injured?

              • Lol. I remember a few months back being called a retard for daring to question some of treble-winning Flick's decisions, particularly playing Alaba at CB ( but also having moved Kimmich out of defense).

                You there FernandoBR ?

How is that turning out for us?

                    • Why did Pavard start again?
                    • Why is it so easy to score against Bayern?
                    • Why only one sub vs Gladbach?
                    • Why does he keep Muller on the pitch for 90 mins even when he isn't playing well?
                    • Why did Costa start instead of Musiala vs Gladbach?
                    • Why isn't Roca getting any chance to start a game? Even when Kimmich was injured, he decided to play with a shitty 4-1-4-1 formation just to keep him on the bench.
                    • Did he finally realize that Boateng-Alaba duo sucks in defense? Or is he still going to surprise us?
                    • Does he know that Alaba is going to leave in the summer and has no future in Munich? On the other hand, Lucas is a lot better than him and is here to stay.

On point. Plus Lucas will give everything for bayern right now while alaba probably is cautious not to get a serious injury before signing a contract.

                      • He seems to only know how to press and play this hectic fast attacks. Other teams just need to wait around the center line and our midfield is cut off with ease and we end up either passing it to the wings and waiting on some individual or some long ball from our CB. And when we press the other teams very offen end up gettin out of our press and then wr don't have a midfield and there is tons of space. This has been gooing of for months and yet nothing seems to be changed or improved. Our individual quality and lewy has bailed us out many times.
also the management of the players seems bad, forcing alaba, not playing roca even 10,15 min vs augsburg and coz tolisso playing even though he sucks muller playing for 90 min all the times even when he is soo bad.

                            • He also said in the post interview last night, that we were dominant.

That's really worrying. We weren't dominant, most of the time bar the last 10 minutes and portions of the first half it was a really competitive game - the entire second half was even steven. Is he delusional? Dominant? Our thrashing of A Madrid with 4-0 was dominance. This was a fucking debacle and it wasn't surprising either.

                              So, were are we?

We have a coach that has addressed some of our problems for months now but hasn't been able to solve them. And we have a coach that thinks that we were dominant when we had a competitive game against a 2nd division team and lost.

Treble or not, this is something else really. And if you think about it, the game against Barcelona could've turned in their favour early as they were close to 1-0 and 2-1 before we scored, also we were insanely efficient with our chances and we pressed like rabies dogs. But our pressing was also our defence. Other than that our defence wasn't a priority. Against Lyon it was a miracle they didn't score at least two goals within the first 15 minutes, again because of the same reasons. And PSG was the better, more balanced team overall. Just watch those games again.

If you think about those games and remove our pressing, our efficiency and overall intensity - that's what we are right now and have been most of the time this season.

I don't see us winning a single trophy this season. I really don't want to stop believing in Flick but when he describes us as dominant when we clearly weren't, he makes it hard not to.

                              • Now the real test starts for Flick and he's gotta show that he's not just living on motivation like the team needed when he took over. Now it's the real big test if he can handle being under pressure and adjust his overall tactics and gameplan to a new situation.

Hopefully he won't turn out to be the next Luis Enrique. Enrique won the treble with Barca in 2014-15 but after that he really turned out to be a quite mediocre manager, lets cross our fingers he will be able to get us back on track asap.
