Defensively there weren't many air duels for him to win as far as I remember..
I remember him going for at least 3 air duels, which he lost.

He was visibly tired that late into the game, he was rocksolid for the first 75 minutes.

                    • Why does everyone get his name wrong? It's Mehdi NOT Medhi. Thread title needs to be fixed.

                          • It IS Medhi, as confirmed by his official Twitter account, Bayern's official website and UEFA's official website.

                            • to all non arabic speakers,i'm sorry to inform you but you don't know what the fuq your talking about.
all the arabic names have some meaning.
there in no sucha name as medhi in all the arabic language but mehdi is a well known name and has a meaning.
in al jazeera sports(BeIn) the algerians and the moroccans there call him AL-mahdi ben atia, the former moroccan coach called him mahdi so it's 99.999999999% mahdi(or mehdi but not medhi)
MAHDI: well known arabic name with a meaning.
MEDHI: wrong spelling while typing his name.

                              for the french speakers:

                              • Transliteration is always going to be confusing and controversial, it's the nature of the beast.

                                Edit:

Just did some research, Mehdi is by far and away the most popular transliteration (as our Arabic-speaking members have noted) but Medhi is not wrong. Medhi Lacen, a French-Algerian footballer at Getafe, spells his name like so. Same deal with Medhi Bouzzine, a French ice skater.

The problem is that "Mehdi/Medhi" isn't Arabic. It's a Latin transliteration of an Arabic name, مهدي , and that is the ONLY way to spell it. Everything except Arabic letters is simply an approximation made so that readers of a different script can comprehend the phonemes that make up the name.

Mehdi or Medhi, it's all the same. No matter what, there is simply no combination of letters in the Latin script that can closely approximate the deep, glottal phoneme used in the original Arabic.
