          • Even if I thought he should have left 2 years ago, then I'll never forget how influential a player he was. Just felt he was clinging on for too long and that tarnished his legacy with us, at least for me.

            Still thanks for everything.

            • The end of an era

I'll never forget how he carried the team on his shoulders before the arrival of Robben

Thank you Franck, now it's time to move on

              • Ribery should've moved on 2 years ago. Still I'm sad he will no longer be a part of Bayern.

                • Could have retired a king on his own terms, but instead chose to fight his own age kicking and screaming to Bayern's detriment.

I won't miss him one bit.

                  • One of the best players I did watch with Bayern .. Legend !!

That's why Coman will never be this good, look how he was doubled for most of these highlights and yet he dribble pass them with ease and without even using top speeds ..

                      • I can't even comprehend how is this even a debate? Ribery is the best thing that have happened to us since CL 2001. In dark ages of German/Bayern football, he came to a club with Andreas Ottl, Masimo Oddo, 40 year old Zeroberto and an average RMF Schweinstiger and carried us all by himself to domestic successes and after that with introduction of Robben and LvG he carried us to 3 finals in 4 year, eventually winning one. He is THE ONLY reason why Bayern is on top today, instead of being a B rated team like we were in 2005. If he wasn't here Robben wouldn't have come and these things wouldn't have happened.

He is a Ballon D'or winner in my eyes. Don't ever get fooled. In 2013 he deserved to win the D'or, but Ronaldo(and Messi) hard-on of people didn't let him win. If we were lucky enough, we would have won more than just 1 CL in his stay in Munich. This guy's statue should be in front of Allianz Arena besides legends like Kaiser and others.

I will never forget his plays, I will never forget what he has done for the club, I will never forget how we missed him everytime he was injured etc. Last two(arguably 3 years) weren't good or were even bad, but that does not change the fact that we are who we are(miasanmia) right now because of him and it will stay like that no matter what, even if he plays until 50.

Do I like his personality? No. Do I like what he is doing right now? No. Do I rate him a good player now? No. But I still can appreciate, what he has achieved for my childhood club, for the club of a city that I'll live my entire life in.

                        • I've said it before and I'll say it again: I don't think Ribery even deserved the nomination in 2013, let alone to win it. He wasn't even the best Bayern player that season - and he wasn't even the best Ribery, IMO. 2011-12 Ribery was more impressive to me. The only people on the face of this planet who feel Ribery should have won the Ballon D'Or are biased Bayern fans.

That statement isn't true at all. Several people put Ribery losing the Ballon Dor in 2013 as outrageous as Sneijder not getting it in 2010 or Modric last year.

And not only fans, but journalists as well. Enter any video about Modric's Ballon Dor and I guarantee you'll find at least one comment about it.

And who, in your opinion, was out best player in the treble year ? Please don't say Robben, because even though he was a beast in the business end of the season, he wasn't even a starter up until Kroos for injured and didn't had the same impact as Ribery. The only player that could challenge Ribery for that is Schweinsteiger, bit even still, I'd put Ribery slightly above him

don't think the people who voted him Europe player of the year in 2013 ahead of both Messi and Ronaldo were Bayern fans, excuse me .. I meant biased Bayern fans.

                              • Schweinsteiger was head, shoulder, and torso superior to Ribery that season. And Robben, despite playing half the season, was dramatically more instrumental to our most high-profile successes. I’ll even make a strong argument that the unstoppable bull himself, Javi Martinez, was more important for us that season. Ribery was great, but he was already starting to decline from his peak in 2011-12.
