Kicker reporting he's signed for Stuttgart! Great move for him, I think he'll doo very well there.

Holger Badstuber wechselt zum VfB Stuttgart - Bundesliga - kicker

Nope. According to DFB rules we should've done that. Because their rules state that you can't loan out a player as long as his contracts is (or smh like it)

Stuttgart are interested in him. Could be a good option for the lad.

Defenders are usually underappreciated. If one bad season(while injured most of it) was enough to chance the perception on Boateng being world class, imagine for Badstuber.

2011-12 was a season of near-impeccable positional awareness, and I'd bet everything I have that if we had him for the 2012 final we would have won it. Following this season, the form he began with in 2012-13 (before his first ACL tear) was top of the world. Unfortunately, this period of ~1.3 seasons is all we ever really saw. That said, I thought Badstuber was always quite good on his comebacks, and I remember one comback in particular in 2014 where he was actually reminding me of his old days...unfortunately he went and injured himself again shortly after.

Had Badstuber didn't got injured so often he would be a beast. One of smartest and most technically gifted defenders I've seen
