Pretty sure he'd be too much money for us... but I would love the idea of signing Pogba if we lost Thiago.

Lotito was asking 100 mil for him a couple of years ago. He'd be less expensive now but I think he'd still be pretty expensive by our standards, and I agree with Emir, he'd probably be butting heads with Goretzka over the first team place and I don't think he'd win that battle.
Maybe the best course of action would be giving Tolisso one more chance, and developing Cuisance even more than this season. Saves us some money, but I do hope we spend it on a RB this season (like Dodo).
If we're gonna go for a midfield player I'd go for Szoboszlai. He's not that expensive, and he's very young so he probably wouldn't expect to be first team immediately like SMS probably would. And we could nurture him behind Muller as a future replacement. He'd be a cheaper, less prominent Havertz-like signing for us.

If there was still any doubt how important Thiago is for our team...last night you had your proof.
We absolutely must replace him with a top quality player. Thats a must.
Frenki de Jong really got it wrong. He will fit like a glove to our team. Although he lacks physicality and he was bullied yesterday. But he is as press-resistent as it gets.
I hope Camavinga watched the game yesterday.
