  • Real Madrid have like two La Liga titles in the last what 10-12 year? If it wasnt for some luck and suspect refereeing and pushing them with offsides, red cards vs Bayern, handball Marcelo, offside goal vs Atletico the most ridicilous CL path with Roma,Wolfsburg, weakses City etc etc Real would have been complete fail. In the mead time they have spent hundreds of mil and spent like 50 mil for unknown risk talents like Vinicious,Rodrigo and co.

But they have been right there at the top competing for it every year.
Being in the semifinals is still a great success. For a very long time we barely made it to the quarter finals.
None of what you said makes them a complete fail. Football has become a business and they have done very well. And again, historically, they have been above every other team in the world.

Let’s be real though... Real Madrid was as big as they were the last decade bc of Ronaldo. Obviously they were huge before. But the success in that decade was mainly bc of him. He left and they don’t scare anyone now. So as far as fans go, they might be bigger. But as a squad, no they aren’t as good as Bayern.

To change sports... the Cowboys are the biggest football team every year. But that doesn’t make them good. It just means they have more fans. And you’d be surprised how many Real Madrid fans were only fans bc of Ronaldo.

Yet all the best players want to play for them. That is the epitome of the best team in the world. In the NBA you have the Lakers, in baseball you have the Yankees, in football it's Real Madrid. We can dream all we want but the facts tell a different story.

Sounds like we agree. I’m just pointing out that bigger club doesn’t mean better Club I guess.

Yeah they relocated from Minneapolis and kept the Lakers. Similar to how the Pelicans kept Hornets name even if it didn't make any sense in New Orleans.

                  • Bayern are in on 2 Defensive Midfielders.

                    1. Denis Zakaria (23yr old) from Borussia Monchengladbach
                    2. Jude Bellingham (16yr old wonderkid) from Birmingham

Apparently Birmingham have accepted the offers of 4 clubs (Bayern, BVB, Man Utd, and Chealse) and now it's up to the player and his family to make a decision.

                      • I don't think it'll be us. Either it's EPL or even Dortmund who know how to deal with youngsters.

Apparently a deciding factor might be to get his younger brother too. Bc the family wants to keep them together. I think we did this with Tillman and his brother. Neither really have amounted to anything. But that appears the only way they’d leave England. I think we’re a long shot for him.

That being said... I like Zakaria skill set as well and he’s proven

                            • wtf was our board doing in the past year ffs? Now we are in such a bad position negotiation wise that we could probably end up losing two or even three players from Alaba,Thiago,Neuer,Muller. Even if they stay now that will probably cost us a lot. ALaba is probably now asking a huge salary probably 15+ mil which he probably deservers right now. If we can pay 70 mil for a injured player plus 10-12 mil a year wages then Alaba deserves 15 atleast. Neuer wants a long probably 4,5 years contract with big wages while our board is offering 2,3 probably which i can understand them neuer could end up being 38 years old and having huge salary. With Thiago and Muller still nothing although i can see Thiago asking for a big raise too while Muller will ask something similar to Neuer

This is a good idea IMO. This way we save some money.
