        • I just want to say, this is the first tournament where I actually feel that Low had to work some tactical magic in order to reach success. In 2010, 2012, and 2014 Low mostly just coasted by on the strength of his players without really having to do much in the way of management. Consequently, I've always considered him a very mediocre coach. He really impressed me this tournament and showed to the world (me included) that he isn't just a dumb guy gifted with a good team, but is actually a strong tactician in his own right.

Low was also responsible for the 2006 team tactical play, so he deserves some of the credit. He's a really good tactician, but he has his favorites and sometimes, it hurts him.

                    • It was a great appetizer, now we wait for the main meal.
Germany winning two consecutive WC trophies and equaling Brazil would be epic.
It's more fitting for someone like neuer to left trophies than lahm.

That would be a dream come true.

                        • Finally got the time to watch some confed cup full matches...

Germany is a little lucky, but I really like the way the team defend. Overall there were funny mistakes and individual sloppiness here and there, cohesion problems etc, but they did not hesitate to defend as a whole. Same with U21 team. I don't get why people keep saying both teams (Confed and U21) were the more inferior teams in both finals, maybe Chile and Spain attacked like hell and were more aggressive (also very hotheaded), but I like seeing my teams actually defend when the situation called for.

                            That's true

This is the beauty of football and the cleverness of the coach , when he sees the situation in the match and try to adapt according to it
Not use an unique system even if it's failing

Totally agree. Löw is known to be very stubborn at times, I still remember the nightmarish extreme high-line ala Pep. It is actually rather refreshing to see such changes.
