Staff changes

Hey everyone,

In case the name colour didn't tip you off, there have been some changes made to the forum's staff. With Trim stepping down as administrator after the ownership change, we entered discussions with the new owners to see whether they would admin the page or whether one of us would. The latter was the better option, so it was implemented, and the staff collectively decided to appoint me as administrator.

What does this mean? To usual operations, not much. The staff team will remain the same, and you guys will be able to post and discuss as usual. It does, however, open up plenty of avenues to do cool stuff with this place. Things like the dark theme, handing out badges, or changing stuff around, was impossible without having a user with admin privileges (previously Trim). Now that we have those tools back, expect a number of cool things to come up.

Also, I can do this now and you can't.

Oh man, for some reason i will miss reading Garci's name in blue.

And of course, congrats you're one of the great guys.

But can i ask, why did the new owners chose not to show up and say hi? Would be nice for us the users to know who is paying the bills, and to interact with them(in the forum, of course).

Kinda sad that ownership change seems to mean Trim left. Not ness. for good, but no posts in months.

I can address some of the concerns now that I'm on a computer.

The change of ownership is something that happened between Trim and the new owners. We are not privy to the details or reasoning behind that. We, too, were waiting for the new owners to drop by the forums, but they have decided to take a hands-off approach. It is in that vein that I was made administrator. What their reasons are, I'm not sure, but if that's the way they choose to run things, so be it.

Trim is still around as a member, posting less, but still around. He understandably wanted to take a step back so as to not interfere with the new owners. Trim was an impeccable admin, and a very valuable member - I will have a hard task in filling in his shoes for the former, but no one can replace him as the latter. I hope he will be around, but it's up to him.

Lastly, I wanted to thank everyone for your kind words I won't let you down.
