Van Gaal laid the foundations to the current Bayern and the reason we came back where we belong. I agree his last season wasn’t good and he was rightfully sacked.
As said, the problem was not about what he achieved per se (I loved van Gaal) but the way he used to deal with the “divas” in our club

He didn't really deal with them did he? He just showed them the door, guys like Lucio, Van Bommel, Demichelis and Zé Roberto were all sold/released.

I don’t know. If I’m too fast, but I have fallen in love with Hansi Flick
I think I want us to retain and watch what he will do.
This is the first time this season I am happy with our board for the following.

1. Not hiring Wenger
2. Giving a performing interim manager an acknowledgment
And a chance to prove himself for the managerial position.

I’m impressed and excited to sit back and see what’s up with this New Bayern
I wanna believe we are going somewhere

I would be very cautious with the predictions.

Fact is that we have seen glimpses of immense defensive performance in last two games. And fact is that rock solid defence is key condition for success especially in CL. In addition, our attack also seems to gain confidence due to our stronf defense.

However, 2 games is just too little. We are yet to see how he will deal with the players. Goretzka for example will be exposed against better opposition. Muller also. Thiago just has to start for us. Coutinho also. We wont be able to overcome better teams without those two.

Nevertheless, I think, if he is smart, Hansi has all the preconditions for a very good season.

Matthäus:
Hansi Flick can be
the ideal coach for Bayern

Lothar Matthäus believes Hansi Flick is capable of coaching Bayern München in the long run.

Quote:
Hansi Flick has lead Bayern München to wins over Olympiacos and Borussia Dortmund since he was appointed on an interim basis after Niko Kovac lost his job as the club's coach just over a week ago.

Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has since said the club 'will continue with Hansi until further notice', and Matthäus believes that's a wise decision.

"FC Bayern don't necessarily need a coach who has won the Champions League three times and who is a world star. What FC Bayern need is peace, unity and the certainty that the entire club is pulling together. Only then can this club develop its full strength," Matthäus wrote in a column for Sky and added:

"I'm sure that Hansi Flick can be the ideal coach. If he's accepted, respected and totally supported by the club bosses, he will have fun, and everyone will benefit.

"The way he has prepared for and handled the two games against Olympiacos and Dortmund shows what he's made of," Matthäus wrote.

Matthäus and Flick played together for Bayern from 1985 to 1988.

I just think our team needs a coach they can respect. We never had such big issues with Pep and Jupp. But with the rest, when our players couldn't trust/respect the coach, it reflected on the performances.

Let's see how it goes with Hansi.

ffs too much overrating of Flick going on in the media. Two games and suddenly he is Heynckes he is great he can be a great bayern coach blabla everybody hopping on the hype train. Lets wait for the honeymoon to be over and see in one month. I have big doubts and i think we will see those shortly. Dortmund was a game where everybody was hyped as fuck
