Timo Werner

Today on Sportbild: Bayern are interested in Stuttgart's Timo Werner (contract until 2018). Sammer has already watched him for a year.

Thanked 1 Time in 1 Post
If any Bundesliga player is "natural false nine", It's Werner. So i can see this deal finalising, but i still think he should stay in Stuttgart for now .

I would rather use his speed on the wings...he reminds me of that one guy at Real Madrid in all of what he's doing...

We know that Goetze and Lewy are here to play as a regular.

There is a big chance that Pep doesn't consider Goetze as a midfielder( CM or DM). most of the time he was used in the front three.

Unfortunately looks like Goetze is gonna be Ribey's replacement, and will block these kinds of transfers.

Götze isn't going to block a possible Werner transfer because the 18year old sensation from Vfb Stutgart can play all positions up-front whether it's left or right wing, second striker or even a false nine. He's that good, I'm very, very excited about this rumor.

I've been advocating for him at Bayern ever since he broke into Stuttgart's first team

Exactly the same positions that Goetze "supposed" to play. Goetze also a 22yo, and he will lose his patience at some point.

However, I am all in for this guy, if Bayern's interest are true. I have read an article about him 1 year ago that he is the proper successor for Ribery, and I agree. I hope this is true.

I think It's more likely that Ribery would lose patience than Goetze. A winger replacement isn't going to compete with Goetze, who isn't really a winger, but more of a stopgap. He wouldn't have been playing there anyway if Shaqiri had been fit.

It's not saying much, but his highlight reel is ridiculously impressive for a (then) 17 year old.

I could see Werner wearing the #7 at Bayern in the future. He's an amazing talent.

They won't sell him, contract until 2018 with no AK, this is pointless name dropping. Every big club will have scouted him, he won't want to leave, as he can't get games there at the moment, never mind Bayern, Veh wouldn't have gone back there if they were to sell their best talent at a lower value than in a few years and Wahler is a very ambitious president for them, who will refuse too.

They will develop him until 2016 or something, and sell him for €35m>, bigger talent than Gómez, whom they still got €30m+ for.

How many talents can Bayern possibly support?

@bazi: How does this kid differ from Kurt?

At the moment, I think we can afford a winger and be able to give him reasonable playing time.
