I would like to know what's the opinion of u guys about foreign nationalized players? This might be quite common in Europe, but in Peru this is new. There are 6 Argentinians and 2 Colombians who might play for Peru's NT.

Strong Reggae Boyz team set to meet Costa Rica and Peru

Quote:
Jamaica have called up ten overseas based players to be in the Reggae Boyz squad for their friendly international against Costa Rica at the national stadium on September 5 followed by a match-up against Peru on Tuesday, September 7 in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida.

Both games are part of the Reggae Boyz continuing preparation for their defense of the Digicel Caribbean Cup title in November 2010 and the Gold Cup in 2011, and another step towards getting ready for next year's start of the 2014 FIFA World Cup qualification campaign.

Costa Rica and Jamaica have met 19 times in the past with Costa Rica proving to be the more successful team on ten occasions. The last time both countries met was last year at the CONCACAF Gold Cup where Costa Rica won 1-0 on a goal by Celso Borges.

The Reggae Boyz supporters in South Florida can expect an entertaining and competitive game when Jamaica meets Peru at Lockhart stadium two days after their game with Costa Rica. Both countries are expected to field very strong teams. The two nations last met back in November 2006 in a friendly at the national stadium in Jamaica that ended 1-1.
In the four internationals played by Jamaica this year, they have won two, defeating Canada 1-0 and Trinidad and Tobago 3-1 while losing to two time world cup champions Argentina and then against South Africa in a hastily scheduled game.

The foreign-based players are Omar Daley (Bradford City), Donovan Ricketts (LA Galaxy), Shavar Thomas (Kansas City Wizards), Ryan Johnson (San Jose Earthquakes), Omar Cummings (Colorado Rapids USA), Richards (New York Red Bulls USA), Demar Phillips (Aalesund FC), Jason Morrison (Stromgodset IL) Shelton (Valarenga FC) and Nicolas Addlery (Puerto Rico Islanders). The local contingent includes Richard Edwards (Harbour View), Dicoy Williams (Harbour View), Kavin Bryan (Harbour View), Oniel Fisher (Harbour View), Ricardo Cousins (Portmore United), Adrian Reid (Portmore United), Eric Vernan (Portmore United), Navion Boyd (Tivoli Gardens), Keammar Daley (Tivoli Gardens), Troy Smith (Village United), Oliver Trail (Village United), Andre Blake (Sporting Central), Jevaughn Watson (Sporting Central), Jermaine Taylor (St. Georges S. C.), Kenardo Forbes (Waterhouse), Devon Williams (Real Mona).

CharlieVarela, I couldn't make it back to get to this game. I want to, but I'm on vacation in Sweden right now (for the past month actually). So that's why I haven't been on the forum.
I am watching online, pretty impressed with my Canadians, really. What are your thoughts, mate?

Hope ur having a good time reds Glad to hear from u man, Canada played a really good game, completely different from when they played Argentina. A much more solid midfield and a more agressive approach. Defence was somewhat shaky, but overall a good game.

Peru played a good game, I expected a little more, but it was quite decent. Some changes need to happen, for example play Torres instead of Ramirez in DM and change LB, Vilchez is not NT material. RB, Guizasola was good, but I think Galiquio would do a much better job. He (Guizadols)is a decent player, but Peru has better options. Obviously we will be much more dangerous when Pizarro and Guerrero play (on the meantime we have Fernandez, who kind a looks like Ibra, and Aguirre, who is currently injured thats why we played with Advincula against Canada)

I would go with:

Fernandez
Galiquio-Acasiete-Zambrano-Rabanal*
Farfan-Torres or Tragodara-Ballon-Vargas
Pizarro-Guerrero

*Im still considering LB, we don't have many players for that position, atleast not very good players

He was called for the 2006 WC qualifiers and 2007 Copa America. He will be Acasietes (32) replacement for the 2014 qualifiers He will definitely play on Copa America 2011, as u say Miguel, he's fantastic.

Peru has a good team, our problem for the past decade has been poor management.

Colombia beated Venezuela 0-2 at Puerto la Cruz. Easy victory for Colombia, but the mother***** of Falcao keeps on missing goals for Colombia meanwhile he scores by two for Porto.

Cool. He's been in Portugal for a few years now, always been a top defender. With Braga playing in CL this season, all of Europe will have a chance to see him play.

He was linked with a move to Porto, but we signed Otamendi in the end.

Hahaha I'm glad he's doing good at Porto, but I want him to score for Colombia. He creates all the plays and isn't able to score. In this match against Venezuela he was given the OM position behind Rodallega.

By the way, all the Colombian defensive block plays in Italy!
