acquiring a top defender from the Seria A .. is almost always a good idea. a league that is well known for it's great defenders not outstanding strikers ..

All defenders from Serie A recently failed in Bundesliga

Or B/D to those who play against them.

Luca Toni was exciting. He and Ribery (who started the same year) turned Bayern around. Previous year they had NOT qualified for the Champions league and were relegated to the Europa League. Only loss in that was to Zenit. Memorable game was in Spain where Bayern scored two goals in literally the last two minutes of added time to wine.

Bravo to Luca Toni!

I must add that the pizzaria that he was known to like in Munich was not the best. L'angolo della pizza was where he should have hung out-Munich's best.

Though playing a defender from Serie A on the highline is not a good idea

Harder for a striker to adapt a BVB's style than a defender to adapt a Bayern's style.

And AS Roma play "like spanish" with Rudi Garcia as a coach. Don't worry.

The situation hasn’t been unblocked. Roma’s sporting director Sabatini hasn’t left for Munich yet, the negotiation is stalling and the meeting has been postponed. Roma don’t consider Bayern’s offer for Benatia (€24M plus €2M bonuses) satisfying, it’s not enough to start negotiating concretely. That’s why Sabatini stayed in Trigoria’s training center with the rest of the management. The parties will talk again in the next hours, the future of Benatia isn’t certain yet.

If 24+2 is true, that is lowballing to an absurd degree.
