You would have thought they would at least let him finish in Europe then fire him.

Valencia Tracking Guerrero

Quote:
Valencia are keeping tabs on Peruvian international Paolo Guerrero

Peruvian striker Paolo Guerrero has attracted the interest of Primera Division outfit Valencia, if a a report by Canal Plus is to be believed. The attacker currently plays at Hamburger SV, but has an expiring contract.

Valencia are in the market for a new attacker due to the ongoing uncertainty about the future of David Villa and Los Che supposedly see Guerrero as the perfect replacement for the Spanish international.

Guerrero joined Hamburg from Bayern Munich in the summer of 2006 and has since made over 80 league appearances for the Rothosen. The tricky attacker recently revealed that he needs a new challenge though and is widely expected to leave HSV this summer.

The 26-year-old has missed the majority of this season due to a knee injury and made the headlines for all the wrong reasons upon his return when he threw a water bottle at a fan.

Hamburg Closing In On PSV Star Ibrahim Afellay - Report

Quote:
The gifted midfielder appears to be on his way to HSV...

Ambitious Bundesliga outfit Hamburger SV are considering making a move for highly rated PSV midfielder Ibrahim Afellay this summer, according to a report in Hamburger Morgenpost.

Hamburg are eager to add some more creativity to their squad ahead of next season and the Rothosen supposedly see Afellay as the perfect addition to their midfield.

The versatile midfielder is a product of the PSV youth academy and has made 131 Eredivisie appearances for the Eindhoven side so far, scoring 27 goals in the process. Afellay has also been capped at senior level for Holland.

Afellay's current contract with PSV is due to expire in the summer of 2011, but the Eindhoven side could be tempted to cash in on their star player if an offer in the region of €10 million comes in.

Espanyol Keen On Hamburg Striker Ruud Van Nistelrooy - Report

Quote:
Espanyol are eager to lure Van Nistelrooy back to Spain...

According to a report in Sport, Primera Division side Espanyol are eager to lure former Real Madrid attacker Ruud van Nistelrooy back to Spain. The Dutch forward currently plays at Hamburg.

Espanyol are keen to add some more fire-power to their squad in the summer transfer window and head coach Mauricio Pochettino has reportedly made Van Nistelrooy his primary target on the transfer market.

The 33-year-old attacker left Real Madrid for an adventure at Hamburger SV last winter, but the prolific hitman failed to guide the Rothosen to Bundesliga success and could therefore be on his way out of HSV again.

Hamburg didn't qualify for European football and are reportedly eager to offload some of their more expensive players.

Van Nistelrooy's current contract with HSV runs until the summer of 2011, but the Germans could be tempted to cash in on the striker if a good offer comes in.

Veh becomes Hamburg coach

Quote:
Former Wolfsburg coach Armin Veh has joined Hamburg on a two-year deal.

Veh, who steered VfB Stuttgart to the 2007 Bundesliga title but was sacked by VfL Wolfsburg in January, will be officially presented on Tuesday.

"The board of Hamburg SV and the 49-year-old have agreed on a contract until June 30, 2012," the club said.

Hamburg missed out on a European spot, finishing seventh in the Bundesliga, after collapsing in the second part of the season under coach Bruno Labbadia.

He was fired in late April, with assistant coach Ricardo Moniz staying on as interim coach until the end of the season.

LOL. Nice. Yep -- Veh would make things go downhill at HSV from where they have been.

Hamburg eye Rafinha swoop

Quote:
Hamburg have registered their interest in a summer swoop for Schalke full-back Rafinha.

The Brazilian defender looked set to join Bayern Munich last summer, only for Schalke coach Felix Magath to block the move.

But with last season's Bundesliga runners-up suffering financial problems, they may have to cash in this summer.

Rafinha, 24, is out of contract at the end of next season and it is thought Schalke would be willing to sell for around £8million.

"It is true, Hamburger SV have made an enquiry," his agent, Marcos Malaquias, told the Hamburger Abendblatt newspaper.

"Of course, HSV would be a great place for Rafinha to play, just as it would be for any other Bundesliga player. They are a great club to play for."

Juventus Offer Diego To Hamburg For Dennis Aogo And Eljero Elia

Quote:
Juventus have offered Hamburger SV midfielder Diego as a bargaining chip for Dennis Aogo and Eljero Elia, according to Corriere dello Sport.

Aogo, 23, has been with Hamburger since joining from Freiburg in 2008, while Elia, an international for the Netherlands, signed for HSV last summer from Twente.

But despite Juventus' interest in offering Diego to Hamburger, it is believed the midfielder will snub a move to the HSH Nordbank Arena as he eyes a transfer to either Manchester United or Bayern Munich, both of whom have been linked to him this summer.

Hamburg to host Chelsea in friendly

Quote:
Hamburg have announced that they will be staging a pre-season friendly match against Chelsea on August 4.
The game will be Hamburg's last major warm-up game ahead of the 2010/11 season and will give new coach Armin Veh the opportunity to put his side to the test against the English double winners.

Hamburg commence pre-season training on June 28 and have organised two training camps, the first in Sylt and the second in Austria, during which they will play a friendly match against 1860 Munich.

They return to Germany to take part in the Liga Total Cup, where they will face Jefferson Farfan’s Schalke in Gelsenkirchen on July 31 with a further game against either Bayern Munich or Cologne a day later before welcoming Chelsea to the HSV-Arena.

Hamburg To Steal Hertha Berlin's Gojko Kacar From Italian Interest

Quote:
Serbian international Gojko Kacar looks to set to remain in Germany, despite a host of clubs in Italy chasing the highly-rated midfielder, Italian source Tutto suggests.

The 23-year-old Hertha Berlin player had been attracting interest from the likes of Sampdoria, Milan, Juventus and Fiorentina, but now Hamburg look to have jumped the queue.

With the Italian clubs finding the price too high, HSV are looking to raid fellow Bundesliga club Hertha with a bid of €8 million.

Stuttgart Defender Serdar Tasci On Hamburg Radar

Quote:
HSV are in the market for defensive reinforcements following the departure of Jerome Boateng to Manchester City and head coach Armin Veh sees Tasci as the the perfect replacement.

Tasci rose to prominence at Stuttgart when Veh was in charge at the Schwaben and the defender would be happy to work with Veh again, according to his agent.

"Serdar did not forget his previous spell under Veh. He knows that Veh is an excellent coach and that he could develop into an even better player under his tutelage," Uli Ferber was quoted as saying.

Hamburg Want Nuernberg Defender Dennis Diekmeier

Quote:
The Rothosen are looking to add a new defender to their squad this summer following the departure of Jerome Boateng to Manchester City and head coach Armin Veh supposedly sees Diekmeier as the perfect addition to his team.

Diekmeier is a product of the Werder Bremen youth academy, but failed to break into the first team at the Hanseaten. He then joined Nuernberg in January 2010 and quickly became an important first team member at Nuernberg.

The 20-year-old defender's current contract with Nuernberg is due to expire in the summer of 2012, but the German side could be tempted to part company with Diekmeier for a fee of €2.2 million.

"It wouldn't be a problem for me to stay at Nuernberg for another season. However, joining Hamburger SV would be the logical next step in my career," said Diekmeier to Bild.

HSV are in the process of massively rebuilding, and they still won't win the Bundesliga. They talked smack last season and acted like they had it in the bag. I certainly believe they will be strong again, which is good and bad for us -- adding like they are and with Veh as coach, they will have their issues.

They have a very good squad but their managament is crapp..

How they sign Armin Veh who has been fired from Wolfsburg!?

I think HSV will flop again this season and they will fire Veh in the middle of the season..
