We have to try a formation which we can use in the CL until Coman is back. A formation without Ribery on the left.
Müller - James - Robben
-----Lewandowski------

I honestly don't see us trying a Ribery-less formation while Coman is out. I agree we should, but I just don't see it happening.

Something like this would be nice for CL and our more competitive matches, but I have a feeling Jupp will rely on Ribery.

Lewa
James - Muller - Robben

James/Muller can rotate between the middle and left side of the pitch, with Alaba overlapping providing our width. Robben/Kimmich can work their magic on the right.

We played without wingers against in Paris and got absolutely shredded because our fullbacks had to provide width. Having our first choice CB's might have helped but I just don't see a team being successful in European competition relying almost exclusively on fullback play for width unless they have Ronaldo scoring at will Too easy for teams to sit deep and play on the counter if they have even a sniff of pace.

IMO we shouldn't rotate in this match ... our next game will be next Saturday (10 March)

Playing Freiburg away isn't easy (at least that's what we've seen in recent years), and we need to get 3 points

4-3-1-2 is the answer, with Muller & Lewandowski upfront (Robben can play there as well)

Ulreich

Kimmich - Boateng - Hummels - Alaba

Javi
Vidal - Thiago

James
Muller - Lewa

Jupp will play Robben and Ribery, we can forget this lineup.
