You can’t help but love how clutch Mandzukic is.

Perhaps.

This WC was just really lame. Okay, winning the WC is never easy. But teams were never so bad, either. Not for as long as I can remember.

Never should've left our squad.

For real dude, if he’s willing to sit on the bench from time to time at Juventus there’s no reason why he couldn’t have stayed.

He plays mostly as a starter for them as a winger. I think he will lose his spot definitive when Ronaldo arrives.

I know he just turned 32, but I would love to have him back for a 2 year deal.

Trust me, It was.

WC cups were never a place for epic games from start to bottom

Look at all finalists from 90 to 2018... apart from a few exceptions (such as Germany x Brazil in 2014) all of them got there by grinding out games...

He didn't accept bench time at Atletico nor is he a bench player at Juve, guy averages ~73 minutes per game.

So yeah, he couldn't have stayed.

Still, this World Cup is not as bad as 1990 and 2010.

Deserved win for the Balkan Boys.
Now I hope they will win it.
Those French with their lame style of football don't deserve it at all.
GO HRVATSKA!

Indeed... And you can go even further back. Probably the only WC winners that either raped or won rather comfortably most matches were Brazil in 58, 62 and 70...

Everybody else had to sweat blood to win it
