They lost the first game after the break to Augsburg II. 11 points off the top now. Sallahi was the team's talisman in fall but he's gone now. So it doesn't look good for promotion.

FCB II: Rummenigge kündigt Neuausrichtung an FC Bayern München II

Some changes coming to Bayern II. If someone could translate the important bits it would be great.

From what I understood they're not trying to make FCB II a competitive team anymore, but instead they just are gonna use it as a stepping stone for U19 players to get experience. Also it stated that the DFL has changed the rule that made it mandatory for a Bundesliga team to have a U23 team. Apparently Leverkusen and Eintrach have already ceased to use the U23 team, but Rummenige said that Bayern won't do the same. Also he said that we are gonna focus more on loaning players out instead of letting them play on the lower divisions.

This is what I understood, might not be correct.

The part of loaning players out is a very good decision. Thanks wavy.

I agree. Talents like Hojbjerg, Gaudino, and the already sold Sallahi should get more minutes in higher leagues.

6 points behind Wuerzburg, who kicked Duesseldorf out of the DFB championship, and 7 games to go...let's see if that still works...Whoever wins Bayern RL will face Offenbach, Saarbruecken or Elversberg...tough tie...

It's incredible what ten Hag is capable of doing with such a low quality and small squad. It's a shame we won't see him as coach of the first team.

He's declined Bayern's renewal offer and is rumored to be taking over at FC Utrecht in Holland next season.

Heiko Vogel, our current U19 manager and former Basel manager, will be taking over.

Further to some posts above, the team's focus will no longer be getting promotion to the 3. Liga (we wanted our talents to play in a better league). The team will be made up of U21 players (plus the odd oldie like Tobi) and will just be a stepping stone for our U19 players. The more talented ones will then get loaned out.

The Heiko part has been confirmed? I thought they were looking for a new coach, rumors pointing at Hermann and a few others.

Heiko seems like the best option tho. Always thought it was going to be that way, Heiko -> ten Hag -> Guardiola, replacing each others. But obviously Guardiola didn't leave so ten Hag had to.

It's depressing how clubs like Stuttgart and HSV are signing shit coaches, instead of going after someone like ten Hag. Are their management people so shit? Incredible.

Promotion is still possible apparently, with a bit of luck (Wuerzburg losing a couple of matches). It would be great for ten Hag to leave with the promotion won, he deserves it for his amazing work. That schalke goalkeeper costed us the promotion, really unfair.

Yes it was confirmed by KHR.

Wuerzburger will have to lose two and draw one of their last 6 games for us to even have a chance. Plus we will have to win all our games. I hope it happens too but it's unlikely.

Raeder error cost us last year. He's actually starting for his new club again in the Portuguese first division. He was signed as #1 but got dropped after a rocky start. His club is fourth from bottom though.

This is a better approach which Neverkusen has started doing last season. Loan those youngsters out to 2.BL teams than stay in the fourth division waiting for a senior team call-up.

I disagree.

Alaba, Mueller, Badstuber, Hummels all made the step up to the Bundesliga by playing in the third division for a season or two while training with the first team (Kroos was the exception, he went from U19 to the first team). The third division is competitive enough to aid in development and training with world class stars further enhances it. In the case of Alaba and Hummels, their was no immediate place for them in the first team so they went on loan to other Bundesliga clubs.

I think 3rd division plus training with the first team is better than a full season in the 2nd division.
