They have an interesting player in Jonas Hector. Notwithstanding the crappy polish defense, the movement that set up Muller for the first goal against Poland was pretty smooth.

Cologne have parted ways with head coach Peter Stöger. Decision was made on Friday, but communicated today, to keep everyone focused on their important match vs S04. U-19 coach Stefan Ruthenbeck will take over first team duties until the winter break.

Köln waited too long to give Stöger the sack imo. Wouldn't be surprised if they hire Weinzierl.

I wonder what happened to them. They finished in Europa places and boom, zero wins this season. Did they sell a lot in summer? Or is this due to injuries?

They lost Modeste, their top scorer. But yeah, it's weird. Maybe is not working between him and the squad.

It is funny though, that they are only team who have chance to stay in Europa league, Hoffe and Hertha are out.

I wanted to say they reminded me of Hertha 2009/10 who were last in the league as they advanced to the RO32 in EL and went on finishing as bottom of the league by the end of the season but they're losing 1:0 to Red Star so nothing to do for the EL either.

Hilarious scene - the ref awards Köln a penalty and yet neither him nor the players can find the penalty spot due to too much snow on the pitch hahaha
